Insurance could be one reason maybe?

I also doubt they could hold up to "professional" athletes - groups of players that were drafted as the upper echelon in their sport - considering only about 220 players get drafted each year out of how many thousands that may be on collegiate teams

Only 3 teams this year look for 6 plus next year so they play a few games each day. Another thing I am missing out officiating...

I would say the prospects are closer to the level of College players than nhl players.

Would add games and could make the even huge money grab

but the insurance part may be spot on

the one game a day is pretty lite. should have 3 going at one time twice a day. Youd think each team should be able to field atleast 2 teams

Oh, they're definitely not necessarily NHL studs, but keep in mind that each year only a bit over 200 players are drafted, out of thousands across various leagues and countries.

And it also doesn't mean they couldn't beat any NHL teams' prospects, but it would be a rough go I'd imagine. Plus just being exhibition, everyone may not necessarily be going full blast.

I agree, I see it expanding, with the need for it to hit the HarborCenter in order to get games played.

I remember a lot of people here saying that they wouldn't be suprised if the did something like this when we found out that the Sabres weren't participating in the Traverse City one anymore.

With the HarborCenter being done and fully functional, I can't say I'm surprised.

With so few games (this year), I assume it's all at the arena, right?

Attendance for the BOS/NJ game is gonna be poop compared to the other 2 games.

Good blog . but depressing ..

Of the 37 draft picks the Sabres had from 2005-2009, only two--Ennis and Foligno--remain with the team

WOW.

They gave me some prednisone in case he has a bad flare up again. But unfortunately there's no way of knowing exactly what caused it.
